What to include in your listing
- Suspected asbestos-containing materials
- Paints, solvents and unidentified liquids
- Other potentially hazardous waste requiring assessment
Prepare your assessment details
- Describe the location and condition without disturbing the material.
- Include existing labels or reports if available; do not take samples.
- State quantities only where they can be observed safely.
Agree the scope before booking
A listing is a request for assessment, not permission to handle hazardous waste or a confirmed disposal booking. Keep people away from damaged suspect materials and follow appropriate specialist advice. Immediate danger should be handled through the relevant emergency service.
Assessment comes before pricing
The material, condition and handling requirements need to be assessed before anyone can establish an appropriate disposal route or price. A photograph alone cannot confirm what a material contains.
What happens after you submit details?
Your submission goes to the review queue, not the open bidding board. Check your dashboard for the review decision and any next steps. YWG does not currently offer online bidding or booking for specialist waste, so submitting details does not reserve a collector or authorise handling.
